Stock Photography

The Stock Photography Gallery is a series of images that are done for a specific client (in this case, my professor).

The twenty images of moss were taken at Mendon Ponds in Monroe County, NY. Students were required to arrive at the location at 7:30am, a time specified by the professor (the client). Students had to pick one subject from a list and produce twenty quality and unique images of that subject.

The image of the two flames was taken for the cover of a (imaginary) physics textbook, targeted for 7th-9th graders. The image had to relate to the theme "radiated energy". Students also had to write an inquiry letter asking for a $1000 commission if the publisher chose to use their image for the cover of the textbook. Students also had to make an 8"x10" print of the image, and mail it along with the inquiry letter to the photography professor's house. The letter had to arrive by a specified date in order to be considered.
